Why would you want to build your own wind power generator? Well there are a number of reasons but the two most significant reasons that most people would build one for are, to save money and to save the planet, or a combination of the two.

With the economy in free fall in recent months, people are searching for ways to economise and one of the ways to save money is to create your own alternative energy at home. Creating wind energy with a generator set up outside the property is one such method.

This has been long in the minds of many people but only a few got around to doing the job. It was probably due to the fact that there were only a few wind generators available to buy off the shelf and that they were way too expensive to buy, or plans to build your own wind power generator were not even drawn up, and it seemed far too complicated and time consuming to even consider building one.

Since the downturn in the economy however, there have been a surge of ready made wind generators to buy and at a reasonable price too. They start at about $600 dollars but beware, these could be somewhat unreliable. To buy a wind generator that is going to stand up to some serious weather conditions at times, you are looking at paying a minimum of £2000 dollars. Even at this price, it is great value, as the wind generator will pay for itself many times over.

Along with the surge of off the shelf turbines, there have been a dramatic increase plans and designs that enable you to build your own wind power generator at home. Plans seem to be the way to go, with hundreds of thousands of individuals buying them because they provide the means to build a turbine for as little as $200, with the plans costing about $50.

The blueprint plans will walk you through the entire process of wind generation. They will list exactly what material that you require and where to get them from. It’s possible that some materials you will have at home and a lot of the other requirements can be bought from a hardware store. There will be a step by step guide on how to actually build your wind generator and set it up and commission it. If any problems are encountered in any part of the process, there will be a support department to assist you and you will receive lifetime updates.

The obvious advantage that plans have over a shop bought wind generator is that you don’t have to stop with building only one. For the cost of one ready made turbine, if you had the inclination, it might be possible to build another eight or so. Now that is going to provide some serious wind generated energy. That surplus energy can be sold back to the national grid for additional income and the government approves of this system.

The other thing that I mentioned, that if you were to build your own wind power generator, it would be great for the environment. It’s obvious that creating free, renewable, clean wind power at home would lessen the burden on using fossil fuels.

This has the effect of reducing carbon emissions into the air, thus reducing the effect of global warming, the air would be cleaner which would reduce respiratory problems in many people and waste and spillages of fossil fuels into our river systems and oceans would be reduced, helping to protect wildlife.

All of this can be attained with just a small outlay. It can be a great project to work on with the family and can be fun to do. There are many reasons to build your own wind power generator but not many reasons not to.

Homemade Wind Turbine Plans Reviews

As if you hadn’t noticed recently, there has been an explosion of homemade wind turbine, home solar power systems and other alternative energy products on the market. The thing that never ceases to amaze me is the ever increasing quality and quantity of different ways to go green. Every week something new appears on the scene.

In a nutshell, you have a choice of hundreds of books, packages and products that explain how to make the change from traditional energy sources to home wind and solar energy sources. However, many of these products are simply not up to the job but unless you can afford to transform your home into a green energy dwelling with the help of expensive professional services, you will have to turn to DIY products and make the transition by yourself.

<< homemade wind turbines plans >>

So out of the many hundreds of products at hand, you are going to have to know what qualities to look for in an alternative energy package for maximum benefit.

Firstly, in order to make a home wind turbine or solar panels, purely finding a product to learn from is not the only requisite, following the guide closely and accurately is just as important to convert to green energy.

Next up, it may sound pointless, but some homes aren’t suitable for an alternative energy conversion like homemade wind turbines or solar panels because there is no land or surface to put the appliances on.

Thirdly, by modifying your home with the assistance of a guide that educates in a professional manner, you WILL cut you monthly energy bill drastically. It is possible to even create more energy than you require and you can feed that surplus energy back to the national grid. Not only that, but by choosing the right systems and guides, these alternative energy systems can be installed for very little expense.

The next thing is, to avoid squandering your money, think carefully before buying your homemade wind turbines or solar panel guides and opt for ones with the right learning accoutrements. Getting the best guide is the most crucial step.

I want you to get the best alternative energy package that you can buy, so I have been busy evaluating the five top products that are available in the home energy market at the moment. I have chosen the following criteria as the foundations of my assessment.

Click Here For Renewable Energy Videos

Green Power – The reason why so many people are turning to renewable energy is obviously to create power at home, so we tested and measured the amount of energy that each home wind turbine and solar panel generated.

Ease of Building – The guides that that you learn from to enable you to convert your home to green energy should be concise and easy to follow and the parts should be easy to construct.

Instructional Value – We used some of the criteria from above to rate how easy it was to follow the instructions of the teaching packages. We gave the best marks to the guides that included detailed plans that were clearly outlined and easy to follow. The guides that included videos got extra marks.

Cost Involved – Saving money is one of the primary motives that people want to convert their home to green energy. The guides that explained to us where to get the required parts for the least money got a higher rating.

Availability of Parts – We wanted to give a higher mark to the teaching products that used parts that were easy to get hold of (such as the local hardware store). Some guides used parts that were hard to find.

Time Involved – Basically, we wanted to discover the build time of each component. We found out that the quality of the instructions had a lot to do with the time taken. Some blueprints were more complicated than others.

Overall Rating – We used all of the above criteria to come to an overall rating.

<< homemade wind turbines plans >>

Reviewed below are the five leading renewable energy packages that will show you how to create green energy at home. With each homemade wind turbine and solar panel guide, we carefully built the components following the blueprints very closely, with the intention of turning a home green.

With the assistance of financial help from some of my mates for the parts, and a lot of Saturdays and Sundays work from myself over a couple of months or so, that’s what we did.

As you will see from our enjoyable exertions, the clear winner was Green DIY Energy. The four other packages that we road tested were still all very good products but just fell short in some minor way.

Please have a look through our reviews and we hope that they help you make an informed choice in the quest to convert your home into a green, alternative energy home.

To saving money and the environment,

Green DIY Energy came out on top of our review system. The developers of this green energy product have really pulled out the stops on this one, and it is the winner because it is the most complete, well assembled learning package.

You will be able to download your copy of Green DIY Energy straight away after purchasing it online. You will be supplied with many easy to follow videos, simple manual and the quality blueprints.

This learning package is designed to enable you to switch to homemade wind turbine energy, solar power or a combination of both, but it is always mindful of keeping the cost to the minimum without compromising its quality. Most, if not all of the parts to make the components should be available to you locally, (the hardware store for instance).

One thing that you will require for your homemade wind turbine is deep cycle batteries. You have to store your free energy somewhere and you will learn where to pick up these deep cycle batteries for no cost. The total cost of the Green DIY Energy package, along with the inexpensive parts and free batteries is kept to the bare minimum.

Every process is described in detail from learning how to assemble your battery bank to converting your energy from DC to AC, to building a solar panel. The videos that accompany and support the easy to follow blueprints ensure that you are getting tremendous value.

The name of the game though is to create green energy, and this is where Green DIY Energy was outstanding, even generating enough surplus energy to sell back to the national grid.

Because of its superior quality, cost, power generated and basically being the most complete green package, we have to give the best-green-learning-package award to this one.

second place we have an eBook package called Earth 4 Energy. Previously this one was in top spot, but with Green DIY Energy coming to market it got beat out (by far).

The Earth 4 Energy package again consists of both eBooks and videos that work to teach you how to convert your home. The material is clearly laid out (although not quite as well as Green DIY Energy) and the instructions are simple to follow.

When we tested the components that we built using this system, the power generated by the solar panels and the windmill did match that of our winner.

The only complaint I had about this homemade wind turbine package was its focus. While Green DIY Energy teaches you how to build and implement an alternative energy system for an entire home, this one focuses more on the individual
components. It does get into converting the whole home, but it isn’t explained as well as with our winner.

In third place we have Home Made Energy. Overall this package is worth the money you spend to get it, but it just isn’t written as well as our top two picks.

The Home Made Energy package again consists eBooks and videos that work to teach you how to convert your home. The material is fairly well laid out, but the images lack a little compared to Green DIY Energy.

You will be able to build solar panels, or homemade wind turbines with Home Made Energy, but you wouldn’t be able to perform a whole home conversion. If your only purpose is to build a single panel/turbine to supplement your homes energy requirements, I may suggest this one.

Even then though, the images/videos in Green DIY Energy are better. And, with the availabillity of Green DIY Energy, Home Made Energy is simply lacking in content compared to the top pick.

The fourth homemade wind turbine product on our list is Energy 4 Green. This one isn’t a bad product, but it didn’t fair as well as the first two on our list. I think that this one failed mostly because of the way things are explained.

Energy 4 Green uses the same types of parts, and suggests some of the same methods to build, but they don’t explain how to put it together as well. Eventually we did get it all together, and it worked but it wasn’t simple.

When we used this one to convert a home I
helped
my friend get started, and then he worked to build more of the solar
panels we required. He ended up having to buy extra parts to make them
work, and the power generated in the end didn’t quite match that of the
first
two.

All in all this one isn’t bad. The home did
get
converted, and it is generating enough power to run the entire home,
but simply for easy of learning I would recommend the first two
learning packages before Energy 4 Green.

Taking fifth place we have Green Power Easy. Again this one didn’t fair too badly for power generation, but we had some other problems that put it in fourth.

The biggest problem with this homemade wind turbine package is the way the material is taught. All of the first three products on our list included both eBook and video components to make learning simpler.

With Green Power Easy, everything is laid out in written format. Now don’t get me wrong, I love to read, but the absence of the videos did make it more difficult to learn what we were supposed to do.

In the end we did get a home converted, and our efforts generated enough power to keep it off the grid, but this one took longer than the others.

Another problem we had with this one was the products that they suggested we use. Instead of parts that can be found locally, Green Power Easy suggests a supplier list. This did drive the costs of every component up.

On their sales page they did state that you could create a windmill or a solar panel for less than $200, but if we had followed their part guide, we wouldn’t have been able to.

How To Build Wind Turbine And Its Benefits

I think that you have made a great pro active decision in learning how to build wind turbine. You have come to the right site because you will discover what to look out for and which are the best diy kits available for you. You can check them out if you want to head over to our build wind turbine review page.

Why Build Wind Turbine?

1. Save A Fortune On Overpriced Electricity Bills – Every month or quarter, you know that the power supply company is going to raid your bank account again. You expect it. You take it that you can’t do anything about it. Well, YOU CAN. When you build wind turbine and use the energy of the FREE wind to power your home, you can reduce those electricity bills, big time. If you build more than one turbine, you can stop them completely AND sell surplus electricity back to the supply companies.

2. You Are Self Sufficient For Your Electricity Needs – Depending where you live. Power outages aren’t a regular occurrence. They still do happen though and they can be highly crippling. Once you have your own power source in place, you are no longer at the mercy of the grid.

<img src="img/cloudy_earth.gif" alt="Help Save Our Planet" title="Help Save Our Planet" style="margin-right:20px; margin-left:20px; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:5px;"align="right" width="130" height="111" border="1" />

3. You Are Helping To Save The Long Term Future Of The Planet – When you build wind turbine, you will be reducing the reliance on traditional methods of creating electricity which involves burning fossil fuels. With the reduction of fossil fuel usage, there will be less greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere therefore global warming will be reduced. You will feel great satisfaction and can sleep easily that you are doing your bit.

4. It Is A Fantastic Fun, Bonding Project For The Family – It is something unusual that you can do with your family of friends. You will learn how to work together as a team and have a laugh at the same time. You will also learn various skills and how to help save the planet with your family involved.

5. An Investment For You And Your Family – When you build wind turbine you will have to spend about $50 on the plans and maybe $250 on the parts. When you consider that you will be saving thousand of dollars in the future, this is a terrific investment. Would you rather give thousands of dollars to rich electricity supply companies or would you rather spend it on your family?

What Do You Need To Get Started?

1. A very good set of easy to follow, step by step blueprints.

2. A basic set of tools but no specialist tools required.

3. An area to construct your turbine.

If you’re tired of high electricity bills, discover how thousands of families worldwide benefit from homemade wind turbines and solar panels to power their homes.

Is it possible to create your homemade solar power and save on energy bills?… Well, yes you can. It’s great to be proactive and do something about the onset of global warming that is threatening to kill the planet.

With just a few items and a small amount of cash it is really easy to make a homemade solar power system. The sun is going to rise every morning and enough power can be gernerated to provide your daily requirements especially when used with a home wind turbine. Save money and the planet at the same time…

Click Below For

What Solar Power Gives You

First and foremost, the greatest benefit when you buy a homemade solar power system, is the environmental aspect. If everyone on the planet would make their own solar power, the Earth would stand a far greater chance of surviving. Power stations are chucking out massive amounts of damaging pollutants. These pollutants not only warm up the planet, they cause a great deal of respiratory problems. We want our children to grow up in a clean environment.

Another benefit that having your own solar power system would be the financial slant. Apart from the minimal outlay at the start, which wouldn’t take long to recover, all your energy would be free from then on. Further to this, it is possible to sell back any extra energy back to the power grid.

My property that I have the solar power panels working for me is not massive so I have all the power I need. It works like a treat. I am not too concerned about the money that I am saving because I am not that money inclined and I have enough anyway. It’s the fact that whenever I use power at home I know that I have created it out of nothing but the sun. It’s free and it always there. It’s just the sense that maybe I am doing my bit to help the planet survive.

Engineers have been developing quality homemade solar power systems with the specific purpose that they can be easily recreated by just about anybody with the ability to read and a dash of common sense.

Help Save The Planet And Money

Time is running out. It’s time to buy homemade solar power plans. If we don’t pull together and take some responsibility, it could be too late. We can’t rely on the governments of the world to do it all for us.

Homemade Wind Generator Or Ready Made Wind Generator?

In many people’s eyes, the thought of owning a homemade wind generator (turbine) is just a dream. They know that using the wind to generate power is fantastic for the environment and kind to their pockets. Only a small minority actually take the plunge and proceed to build their own homemade wind generator because the majority of people are skeptical. The doubts in most peoples minds that hold them back are,

(a). Wind generators don’t really work and they are just a gimmick.
(b). They are far too expensive.
(c). Making a homemade wind generator is far too complicated.

Let me answer these issues.

Firstly, wind generators work and work well. It is a small minority I know, but it is an ever increasing minority that are taking on the challenge of creating their own wind power from their own home turbines. This increase hasn’t gone unnoticed by the new president.

President Obama has set a part of the $787 billion economic stimulus to help kick start the growing industry of small wind turbines. Anybody who buys small wind turbines to help power small businesses and homes will be provided with a 30 percent tax credit.

It is thought that this federal subsidy will assist the emerging market of small turbines by up to 40 to 50 percent growth pear year.

Just check on the internet for forums and groups, and there are dozens of like minded people who have successfully set up home wind turbines. They are all raving on about their successes and their enthusiasm shows how well their projects work for them.

Secondly, there are dozens of ready-made wind turbines to consider. For a quality “off the shelf” generator, the cost is going to be in the region of $2000 and upwards. There are cheaper versions that can be bought starting at about $600 and they may work well for a while, but their construction is not as robust as the wind generators starting at $2000. In certain extremes of weather conditions they can start to falter.

Paying $2000 for a wind turbine may seem a lot, but in reality they are a fantastic investment. In as little as perhaps three years, it will have paid for itself. They are well worth some serious consideration is the funds can stretch that far, which may be difficult in today’s economic climate.

Thirdly, if $2000 for an “off the shelf” unit is just a little too expensive, building a homemade wind turbine is a great alternative. Engineers have been very industrious in the last few years designing wind generators that are not only effective and reliable, but can be recreated easily by just about anyone with the desire to build one.

Materials for a homemade turbine will cost in the region of $200 and can be bought from most good local hardware stores. The easy to follow plans cost in the region of $50.

The awesome thing is, once the plans are bought, for the same amount as buying a quality “off the shelf” generator, it would be possible to make in the region of nine or ten homemade units. This would create so much power that could it be sold back to the national grid. Not only are household power bills obsolete, money can be made from the sale of electricity.

Whether or not you choose to go ahead with setting up a wind generator for you home or not, whatever the cost, the cost to the planet could be far greater.

Take me to renewable wind energy plans

Make Your Own Renewable Wind Energy

Out of all of the renewable energy sources, power created from the wind is probably the most rapidly expanding way to produce electricity. Renewable wind energy is the obvious choice to use in areas where there is a lot of windy days on a regular basis. The stronger the breeze the more wind energy is created because as the turbine rotates faster, more electricity is created as a result. Renewable energy isn’t only for areas of lots of breeze though. Even where there is little breeze, there is an opportunity to reduce electricity bills substantially.

With all of this free renewable wind energy at our doorsteps for us to use, it makes perfect sense to make home made turbines and capture this bounty. There are many diy homemade wind turbine plans that will enable almost anybody to make their own turbines that will reduce energy consumption from the national grid. In areas of lots of blustery days however, a lot of power can be generated that can almost stop electricity bills entirely.

There is no reason not to build more than one wind turbine. With several units all generating power at the same time, there will be so much renewable wind energy being produced that will surely be enough to power an entire home. The great thing about creating more renewable wind energy than you need is that it doesn’t have to go to waste. It is possible to sell any surplus electricity back to the national grid for a profit.

Home made turbines will soon pay for themselves especially if the route of selling electricity back is utilised. It is not only the fact that making your own power is going to save money, it is the fact that renewable wind energy is going to have a very positive on our environment. There are going to be no greenhouse gasses being released so that will help stem global warming and there will be no toxic waste being released into the air and into our river systems.

It is up to us, as individuals to help save our planet. By making our own renewable wind energy we can help achieve this as well as saving our money at the same time.

Free renewable wind energy. It’s there for us. Now. Why wait?

Make Your Own Wind Generator

Why would you want to make your own wind generator? Well there are a number of reasons but the two most significant reasons that most people would build one for are, to save money and to save the planet, or a combination of the two.

With the economy in free fall in recent months, people are searching for ways to economise and one of the ways to save money is to create your own alternative energy at home. Make your own wind generator and creating wind energy at home is one such method.

This has been long in the minds of many people but only a few got around to doing the job. It was probably due to the fact that there were only a few wind generators available to buy off the shelf and that they were way too expensive to buy, or plans to make your own wind generator were not even drawn up, and it seemed far too complicated and time consuming to even consider building one.

Along with the surge of off the shelf turbines, there has been a dramatic increase in plans and designs that enable you to make your own wind generator at home.

There will be a step by step guide on how to actually make your own wind generator and set it up and commission it.

The other thing that I mentioned, that if you were to make your own wind generator, it would be great for the environment.

There are many reasons to make your own wind generator but not many reasons not to.

Why Make A Home Made Wind Turbine

Environmental Benefits

The wind is everywhere, in your back garden, in my back garden, out to sea, in the desert, at the poles, everywhere. Because of this, there is no need to import any fuel so there is no risk in transporting these fuels. It will never be exhausted as it is always being replaced by more wind.

Wind doesn’t emit any by-products as it doesn’t use any material resources to begin with. Along with not throwing out pollutants into the atmosphere, wind power does not pollute the water with chemicals and other wastes.

Get Wind Turbine Plans Here

Because of the above, the environment benefits greatly because the actual air quality is far greater which will have a positive impact on reducing the amount of respiratory problems. There are no greenhouse gasses been released into the air, therefore lessening the impact of global warming. Wildlife in and around water will suffer less with pollution. There will be no chance of accidental spillages in transportation from place to place.
